With Wisdome as our vehicle, we can move freely through time and space. Powerful new visualization technology and an advanced sound system create experiences that give you new perspectives, knowledge and understanding.

The 443 square meter projection surface sweeps around and above you in Wisdome. Scenes in 2D or 3D envelop the audience, with a sharpness of image that allows you to see every detail. And the sound? It comes from wherever you turn your eyes, as if the world around you has come to life.

It is not cinema. It is not IMAX either. It is a portal to our own and other worlds – a place where the boundary between you and what you experience almost disappears.

The technology in WISDOME Gothenburg.

Projection surface: 443 m² tilted hemisphere of thin, specially formed aluminum plates mounted on a skeleton of steel beams with an 18-meter diameter. Total of 249 plates, with 0.1 mm tolerance between plates to ensure no visible seams. The surface is perforated with 51,428,480 small holes to allow air and sound through. The construction weighs 4.5 tons and hangs from the ceiling by 16 chains that distribute the weight between attachment points.

Projectors: Six projectors, model XDL-4K30 from Barco, handling six different primary laser colors. Superior 3D performance based on color separation using dual wavelengths and efficient light use.

Resolution: Brightness up to 30,000 ANSI lumens, resolution 4,096 x 2,160 per projector and 120Hz refresh rate. Combined 8K resolution.

3D glasses: Dolby 3D glasses with unique full-spectrum color technology for incredibly clear and colorful images.

Sound: Sound system from Meyer Sound. Six X40 speakers, four X-42 speakers (for different dispersion angles) and three X-800C subwoofers.
