Terms and conditions for online purchases – Universeum AB

By making a purchase via Universeum's website, you accept these terms and conditions of purchase in full and consent to your information being registered in our customer register.

1. THE CLIENT'S RESPONSIBILITY

To purchase products on Universeum's website, the buyer must be at least 18 years old or have parental approval if the buyer is under 18 years of age. By accepting the terms and conditions of purchase, the buyer accepts these terms and guarantees that they are at least 18 years old or have a parent's permission to complete the purchase. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the information provided at the time of purchase is correct. In some cases, Universeum may refuse or change a purchase, if, for example, the buyer has provided incorrect personal information. Before making the purchase, it is important that the buyer reads the relevant information about the product in question. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the product is in line with his expectations. The buyer is responsible for checking that the order confirmation corresponds to what he has ordered.

2. PRICES

All prices on Universeum's website are shown in Swedish kronor including VAT. Shipping costs and any payment fees may apply. For purchases on the website, the prices stated on the website apply, other prices may apply for on-site purchases. Universeum reserves the right to change prices. Universeum reserves the right to make any printing or proofreading errors on websites and in printed material. In the event of manifestly incorrect price information on the website that the buyer should reasonably realize is incorrect, the agreement does not apply. Universeum reserves the right to cancel such purchases.

3. PURCHASE OF TICKETS AND ANNUAL PASSES

All completed purchases of tickets, annual passes and gift cards are binding. Tickets, annual passes and gift cards are paid in full at the time of purchase. After completing the purchase, Universeum will send an order confirmation which also constitutes a receipt for the purchase. It is important that the buyer checks that the order confirmation has been received and is correct.

3.1 Tickets
When purchasing tickets, the buyer receives a digital voucher with a QR code via e-mail and text message. Tickets can be scanned directly at the entrance gate for entry. The buyer is responsible for being able to show their digital ticket at the entrance, either via mobile phone or a printed version with a readable QR code.

3.2 Annual pass
When purchasing an annual pass, the buyer receives a digital voucher with a QR code via e-mail and text message. The annual pass is personal and is activated via the link in the text message within one year of purchase. It is valid for one year from the first visit.

3.3 Gift Cards
Universeum offers both digital and physical gift cards. Digital gift cards are sent via email after the purchase has been completed. The gift card can be used as payment for: Entrance tickets to Universeum Annual Pass Tickets to Wisdome Göteborg Events arranged by Universeum The gift card cannot be used in Universeum's shop, café or restaurant, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase. The gift card is valid for 24 months from the date of purchase and cannot be redeemed for cash or extended after the expiration of the validity period. Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced.

4. PAYMENT

As a private individual, payment is handled by Adyen. Once the buyer has approved their purchase, they choose the payment method. Available payment methods are VISA/Mastercard, Klarna Pay Later, Swish and Apple Pay.

5. CANCELLATION AND RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

5.1 Cancellation of tickets
The buyer can cancel their booking free of charge up to 60 minutes before the booked entrance time on the day of the visit. After that, no tickets will be refunded. To exercise the right to cancellation, the buyer needs to contact Guest Service via email: [email protected].

5.2 Right of withdrawal when purchasing an annual pass
A 14-day right of withdrawal applies to the purchase of an annual pass, provided that the annual pass has not been activated. Contact Universeum for help with repurchases.

5.3 Right of withdrawal when purchasing gift cards
When purchasing gift cards online, there is a 14-day right of withdrawal according to the Distance Contracts Act. The right of withdrawal only applies if the gift card has not been used in whole or in part. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must contact Universeum's customer service within 14 days of purchase. Refunds will be made to the same payment method used for the purchase.

5.4 Refund
Refunds are made using the same payment method used for the purchase and can take up to 4-5 business days depending on the option chosen.

6. COMPLAINTS

If the buyer feels that the purchased product or experience does not meet expectations, he or she is encouraged to contact the staff at the box office in connection with the visit, and secondly by e-mail. Complaints must always be made within 30 days of the buyer discovering, or should have discovered, that what the buyer has purchased from Universeum did not meet expectations. When a month has passed, they lose their right to complain. State the order number and reason for the complaint for efficient handling. In the event of technical problems or non-delivery of a digital product, the buyer must contact Universeum's customer service within a reasonable time for assistance in returning the product.

7. FORCE MAJEURE

Universeum is not responsible for unsatisfactory conditions resulting from acts of war, natural disasters, national or regional strikes, outbreaks of disease, pandemics, water or energy disturbances, fire or other similar events that no party involved can foresee or influence. Universeum has no obligation to provide reimbursement or compensation for financial loss arising as a result of force majeure events.

8. PERSONAL DATA

Universeum processes personal data in accordance with the company's data protection policy. When making a purchase on Universeum's website, the buyer accepts the privacy policy. Universeum saves the buyer's information in order to be able to fulfill the purchase agreement and deliver purchased products. We share your personal data with the system providers that provide our payment system, our booking and our webshop. Your email address is processed in order for us to be able to send you offers and information. You can unsubscribe from future mailings at any time, free of charge, by sending an email to [email protected] or by following the link in each mailing.
