- How to buy tickets?
Online is the easiest way to buy tickets. Pre-purchase tickets and book an entry time to guarantee your spot.
You can pay for admission on the door, subject to capacity. Certain entry times or whole days may be sold out. Price on the door = online price plus SEK 20.
Wisdome tickets can only be purchased online.
- Why do ticket prices differ on different days??
Our tickets prices are governed by demand. The most popular days are the most expensive. This means lower prices on days with low demand, which enables more people to visit Universeum.
- Does it cost more to buy tickets on the door?
Yes, the price for admission on the door = online price plus SEK 20.
Wisdome tickets can only be purchased online.
- Do I need to purchase a separate ticket to Wisdome?
Yes. Tickets for Wisdome are required in addition to an admission ticket or annual pass. You can purchase your Wisdome ticket online.
- Can I amend to cancel my ticket?
Yes, you can cancel free of charge up to 60 minutes prior to your booked entry time. Your booking confirmation includes a link to the page for amending and cancelling tickets.
- WHAT ABOUT TICKETS PURCHASED VIA HOTELS OR PARTNERS, AND FREE TICKETS?
There is no need to pre-book your entry time with tickets purchased via hotels or other partners of Universeum. No need to pre-book entry times either with free tickets or partner tickets.
Buying and registering an annual pass online is easy. Your annual pass is valid for one year from the date of your first visit.
- DO I NEED TO PRE-BOOK A DATE OR ENTRY TIME IF I HAVE AN ANNUAL PASS?
No, there’s no need to book in advance. We always reserve a certain number of spots for annual pass holders.
Please note that if purchasing or renewing an annual pass, we cannot guarantee entry on the same day, as we only allow a limited number of visitors at any one time.
- WHEN IS MY ANNUAL PASS VALID FROM?
Your annual pass is valid for one year from the date of your first visit. Your first visit must be made within one year of the date of purchase.
- Why do I need to register my annual pass?
Your annual pass is personal and in order to access it digitally, you need to register it.
- HOW DO I REGISTER MY ANNUAL PASS AFTER PURCHASING IT?
Your annual pass must be registered before your second visit at the latest. To do this, use the activation link in the SMS with the digital voucher.
- CAN I JUST GO STRAIGHT IN IF I HAVE AN ANNUAL PASS?
Yes, with an annual pass you just go straight in and scan your pass at the barrier.
Wisdome Gothenburg are shown in full dome format. You should be at least 4 years old to see a show.
- Why should you be at least 4 years in Wisdome?
There is bright light and loud noise in the shows playing in Wisdome right now.
- Do I need to buy a separate ticket to Wisdome?
Yes, Wisdome is an add-on for those who want to see a show during their Universeum visit.
- If children are sitting on your lap, they do not need their own Wisdom ticket then?
Everyone who sees a show needs their own Wisdome ticket. This is because there is a maximum number of people who can stay in Wisdome at the same time. If you do not have a ticket, you will be denied access.
- How do I get to Wisdome?
Wisdome does not have its own entrance. You enter through the entrance barriers on floor 1 and then take the large elevators to floor 7. On floor 7 there is a staircase up to Wisdome.
- Can I visit Wisdome with a wheelchair?

We have a number of areas where you can eat your own packed lunch. On levels 0 and 4, you will find an area with café tables, a microwave and a sink. Miniverseum (level 0) also has two breast-feeding booths..
- Is it possible to buy food for children on site?
The café on floor 1 offers simpler dishes such as sandwiches and salad. In the restaurant on level 2 there is a children's menu and children's food cans.
- Where can I find changing facilities?
Changing facilities can be found on all levels. Miniverseum on level 0 also has three double toilets.
- Where can I park my pushchair?
Pushchair parking is available on level 1. Babybjörn-branded baby carriers and pushchair locks are available to borrow from the information point.
- Can I brought the pushchair in the exhibitions?
Universeum is best explored without a pushchair. Pushchairs are not permitted in the Rainforest or Chemistry Lab.

- ARE THERE ANY LUGGAGE FACILITIES?
Free storage lockers with code locks are available on levels 0 and 1. The number of lockers is limited – availability cannot be guaranteed.
Levels 0 and 1 also have unattended cloakrooms where you can hang coats, etc. Do not leave any valuables!
Universeum does not have any storage facility for luggage that will not fit in the lockers.
- CAN I BRING MY OWN PACKED LUNCH?
You are welcome to bring a packed lunch to Universeum. We have a number of seating areas within the building to choose from, including level 4 and tiered seating on level 5.
Miniverseum on level 0 is for children aged 0-6 years and their accompanying adults. It has a microwave for heating baby food.
- CAN I PAY WITH CASH?
Universeum is a cash-free venue. We do not accept cash. Card payment only.
It’s easy to pre-purchase your tickets via our ticket shop. You can pay using Klarna and all types of credit and debit card.
- ARE DOGS ALLOWED?
Dogs are not allowed into Universeum. The only exception is accompanying guide dogs and assistance dogs. For more information, see Accessibility.
Most areas at Universeum are accessible by wheelchair or using other mobility aids. Follow the standard route through the building, but adjust your route through our Rainforest zone if using a wheelchair or other mobility aid. There are certain narrow sections in our Ocean Zone, Reptilarium and Chemistry Lab.
- Companion tickets
Companions accompanying a visitor receive free entry. Companions can collect a ticket from the information point. There is no need to pre-book an entry time. Other visitors in the party will need to pre-purchase tickets and book an entry time.
- Guide dogs and assistance dogs
Trained and clearly identified guide dogs and assistance dogs accompanying visitors are permitted throughout the building. If you wish to visit our Rainforest zone, you must register your visit at the information point so we can provide assistance..
- Bliss chart
A standard Bliss chart lacks symbols for much of the content at a science centre like Universeum. Please print our own Bliss chart (only in Swedish) to use during your visit.
The dome shows at Wisdome are not captioned or audio described.
- The Rainforest
Our rainforest has a hearing loop installed. Tactile script and a QR code for spoken information in Swedish can be found at some locations.
Adapted route through The Rainforest:
1. On level 5, use the set of doors by the Field station. Turn immediately right into the Rainforest zone, out through the glass doors. Follow the glass corridor and turn left out through the glass door to the stairwell on level 5. Use the airlock into and out of Trädkojan.
2. Take the Green lifts to level 4 and use the airlock. Follow the walkway and exit through the door.
3. Take the Green lifts to level 3 and use the airlock. Follow the walkway and exit through the door on level 2.
Accessible toilets are available on all levels. A toilet with ceiling hoist can also be found on level 5. Please bring your own lifting sling.
