Welcome to 8000  m2 of adventure! Universeum is located in the heart of Göteborg and is Scandinavia’s largest science centre.

Throughout its seven floors you can experience tropical rainforests, huge aquariums and lots of exciting experiments – on your own or with our guides. Explore the Swedish countryside with freshwater fish and birds, visit our sharks and octopuses and step into a space station.

You can also see snakes and other poisonous animals, see monkeys and birds moving around freely, learn how nature has inspired new technologies, build in the inventors’ workshop, let really young children try out their dream jobs at Jobbis and a whole lot more. Welcome!

    Parties and functions at Universeum

    Right in the middle of Gothenburg, there’s a unique venue with 3.5 km of party possibilities in one building: everything you need for the perfect launch-party, special event or celebration.

    We can cater for small or large groups and offer something to suit every occasion: guided tours round the Rainforest Zone and Water’s Way , dinner with the sharks in the Ocean Zone, or even a snake show.

    There’s a whole range of unusual locales here for you and your clients to mix and relax in. There’s no other venue like it, in fact!

    Here you will find our press releases, photos, facts and other useful for those who work in the media. The material is rarely available in English, but our communications officer are happy to answer questions and provide assistance.
